Anthony Beardmore, MD LTC USA (Ret.)

Sports Surgery

Anthony Beardmore, MD, started his medical career in the US Army with 10th Special Forces (Airborne) as a medic. After serving on active duty he then went to undergraduate school at the Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Microbiology. He returned to active duty and attended Medical school at the Uniformed services University of health sciences in Bethesda Maryland. Post graduate education included an Internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora CO.  He served again with 10th Special Forces (Airborne) as a Flight surgeon at Fort Carson CO.  Dr. Beardmore then did Orthopedic Surgery residency at Texas Tech and William Beaumont Army medical center in El Paso, Texas.  He finished his medical education with a Sports Medicine fellowship at West Point. 

 

Dr. Beardmore has over 15 years of surgical sports medicine experience.  He has been Board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic surgeons since 2006. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic surgeons and a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Orthopedic Trauma Association. 

 

Dr. Beardmore specializes in surgical sports medicine especially Shoulder and Knee arthroscopy. Some examples of his more common procedures include anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, knee meniscus surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder labral repair, and cartilage restoration.
