E. Mark Hammerberg, MD FAAOS

Adult Reconstruction

Dr. Hammerberg's clinical focus is on hip and knee replacement surgery, including revision surgery.

He attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota.  His fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma was at Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle.  His fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement was under the direction of Lawrence Dorr, at the Dorr Arthritis Institute, Los Angeles.

He has previous academic appointments at Emory and the University of Colorado, and he is looking forward to returning to Denver Health.

As a Denver native, he has a particular fondness for Colorado, an appreciation that grows with any time spent outside of our great state.  Like many of us, he enjoys time spent with his family outdoors, skiing, hiking, or camping.  As the beneficiary of two outstanding ACL reconstructions, one for each knee, he understands how an orthopedic surgeon can help patients get back to an active lifestyle.
